#seadug Seattle Drupal Clinic 2010: Start:... http://bit.ly/d04MHN
Seattle Drupal Clinic 2010
The 2010 Seattle Drupal Clinic is coming soon!
When: Friday, July 9, 2010 - 9 AM to 4:30 PM
Where: North Seattle Community College, Clubroom CC-1360
Cost: $25 plus ticket service fee
Drupal Clinics are hands-on introductions, for beginners, to building a web site using Drupal. We will cover questions like "What can Drupal do?", "Why choose Drupal?", and general concepts of on-line content management with a database behind your web site. Then we'll work through the basics of setting up a Drupal site, including the use of the CCK and Views modules. See poplarclass.com for more details, and seattledrupalclinic2010.eventbrite.com to register.
Volunteers needed! We found last year that having 5 or so volunteers on hand all day was crucial to the success of the workshop. If you are an experienced Drupaller, patient enough to help beginners as they learn the basics of Drupal, and can spend a Friday contributing to the local Drupal community, your help would be most welcome. Please add a comment on this event if you want to volunteer (if you want to attend the workshop as a learner, you need to register and pay on Eventbrite).
Volunteers will be rewarded with:
- Lunch (see below)
- The chance to introduce themselves and their company
- Logo and link on the clinic web site
Lunch: Sandwich lunches come with sandwich, chips, water, apple, dessert and a couple hershey kisses. Salad lunches come with salad, a roll, water, apple, dessert and a couple hershey kisses. I will ask for all condiments/dressings to be on the side.
Choices:
1) Mesquite chicken sandwich: Grilled chicken, swiss, tomatoes, lettuce and honey dijon sauce on a wheat roll.
2) Roast beef sandwich: Tender cooked roast beef, lettuce, tomato and Swiss served on sourdough.
3) Vegan sandwich: Sliced avocado, tomatoes, hummus, sweet red pepper, red onion, lettuce and cucumber on wheat bread.
4) Avocado salad: Avocado, tomato, green onion, croutons, crumbled bleu cheese with bleu cheese dressing.
If you would like to volunteer and have the time, please add a comment here. Include your lunch choice, and contact me with the logo/link you would like to have on the web site.
Thanks!

Theme, store, ecom, mods and integration | farfetchers
I'm setting up a store for antiques and using the ThemeSnap Ecommerce Pro theme . I would like to make some fairly simple mods to it involving some relayout. I need some help integrating features too with ubercart, especially in inventory management. I'd like someone who can follow the drupal code for accessing data and will need some help with the javascript--there seems to be a conflict in the uc_out_of_stock module and the theme's js. Looking for hourly contract help and I pay promptly.

Kick ass Drupal Dev / Themer | workhabit NYC office
Dying to get out of Seattle and move to NYC?
Do you consider yourself to be a kick ass Drupal Programmer with a minimum of 18 months to 2 years experience?
Are you looking to do great work with a fun, fresh, talented team that works closely together? Looking for a place to unleash it, working with a entrepreneurial team of go getters on the best leading projects in the Drupal Community?
We have some really exciting game-changing projects currently underway and in the dev pipeline, but we need more team members to work with us.
For five years, we've been working almost exclusively with Drupal. We're looking for a few outstanding members to join our teams New York City and in San Francisco, but for the right talent you can be elsewhere...
What we're looking for:
o A senior level programmer with LAMP and Drupal stack experience
o Extensive programming experience in the Drupal application framework
o Knowledge of module development, and dos and don'ts in Drupal
o Familiarity with Drupal's top modules, including (of course) Views and CCK
o Web Services knowledge (SOAP, REST, JSON) and knowledge of the Drupal services module and how to use it (we do a lot of Web Services)
Ideal candidates have:
o Experience working in large scale environments, including performance and scaling experience in a multi-tier environment
o Advanced XHTML and CSS skills (web standards geeks = +1)
o Demonstrable Ajax and JQuery Javascript framework experience
o A history of contribution to the Drupal project, and interest in Drupal 7 and the future of the Drupal project
o Knowledge of Social Networking platforms, and how, why and when they should be integrated
o Good working knowledge of the Linux command-line
An interest in not only Web but Mobile & Video platforms
We are:
o A long-time Drupal shop, with almost five years experience working in the space
o A client list, and a reputation for hacking great solutions together for clients both Startup and Enterprise
o A tightly knit engineering team that really likes getting things done and seeing our work have impact
o Deep technologists, with team members working with Release Management, Drupal and Agile Java (Hibernate/Spring -> great if you know some), AMF-PHP and other cutting edge problems and integration work operators on high performance deployment platforms on both Amazon and our mostly solid-state in-house system, as a lot of our work involves big traffic numbers.
Please email us with your CV, Drupal user ID and some examples of your kick ass code to: apply (at) workhabit dot com
