Ninja-Slaying Lead Dev Unicorn | Unicorn Booty
===============
Successful social media Start-up looking for technology partnerMy partner and I are running an innovative ecommerce social networking site that's been going strong for 8 weeks now and nearing profitability. We need a tech person to help us get to the next stage of our growth, preferably someone who wants to grow the company with us for the long-term.
We are also open to a small group of Druaplers who can help us accomplish our goals.
The ideal group would be a small team of Drupalers in the Seattle area.
The team would be responsible for development and design.
We would also welcome technical direction and other advice you want to give.
In return, our team has a modest, but steady, payment of $500/week, plus we would make you an official sponsor to Unicorn Booty which we anticipate will generate non-trivial business for you. We have over 15,000 targeted followers in our social media network. Past partners include Neat Co, Smule and SHAKERS Vodka. Great exposure!
We need to work-out the operational logistics to make sure to keep the relationship mutually beneficial.
The LGBT cause is an important part of our business, as we give 10% of our proceeds to LGBT non-profits, so it's better if you also support it.
Please send some links and a short note to Nick at nick@unicornbooty.com.

Start-up looking for technology partner
My partner and I are running an innovative ecommerce social networking site that's been going strong for 8 weeks now and nearing profitability. We need a tech person to help us get to the next stage of our growth, preferably someone who wants to grow the company with us for the long-term.
Our site (unicornbooty.com) was built in Drupal.
We need you to:
-
Have 25-40 hours/week of time to devote to the site with low guaranteed pay. Equity or profit-sharing may be possible for the ideal person who impresses with their skill, knowledge and commitment to our big, bold and audacious mission.
-
Make sure our site is stable, secure and has no down-time
- Do routine maintenance
- Implement new features by doing them yourself or outsourcing
- Prepare our site for the next phase of our rollout over the next 3 months by managing development
-
Recruiting and encouraging interns to help accomplish our goals
-
Be responsible and trustworthy
- Anticipate and communicate any issues quickly and effectively
- Support the LGBT community and care about non-profits (we give 10% to non-profit)
- Desire to work in a fun and inclusive environment that has a lot of attitude
Because this is a high-traffic site with daily sponsors and downtime is a big issue, we are only considering candidates with previous demonstrable Drupal experience.
Send us a note that includes a list of your sites and what role you played in each. Please also include 50-words telling us what your favorite website is and why it keeps you coming back.
Thanks

Drupal 7 Code Sprint
CHX will be in Seattle July 25-26 and has expressed interested in having a code sprint here to crank on the D7 criticals queue and port modules to D7. Is anyone interested in this? While this event will probably be pretty code-centric, I think it would be an excellent introduction for people who are curious and interested in how to get more involved in the Drupal community. If Jennifer can make it, I'm sure she would be up for some documentation queue wrangling and we can make sure there is stuff for all skill levels to do. Designer types will undoubtedly be able to make contributions to projects like Bartik (a new theme designed for inclusion in core) and I'd be more than happy to run tutorials on how to create patches and work with CVS and the issue queue.
Location:
Startpad
811 First Ave, Suite 480
Seattle, WA
On Sunday the doors will be locked and you will need to call up to be let in. A notice will be posted on the door with the number to call.
