This post is not directly Drupal-related, but I am trying to install Ubuntu Linux on an old G4 PowerPC Mac, to use as a Drupal server. I can't get the Mac to see the Ubuntu disc when I try to boot from CD. If you are even semi-knowledgeable about this I would appreciate any guidance you might be able to provide. Thanks.

SeattleHi all -
I'm working with a non profit called Hope With Love to create a site, HopeOneSource, to use in their efforts to aid in collaboration of non-profits while working in relief efforts. This is a bootstrap effort and already has a large test group setup to support the efforts in Haiti. What I'm looking to do is overhaul and finish the site sometime in the next month so they can move into testing with these groups. The site will rely on gmaps, location, SMS and Notifications in order to help better the communication among relief workers in-country.
If anyone has specialties in gmaps, location, SMS or notifications and would like to join in the effort I'm willing to host a barn-raising and provide the food/drink for anyone that attends. This is a great organization that is just starting out and with the help of the Drupal community I think we'll be able to create a tool that will have a lasting impact on relief efforts.
If you are interested please either reply here with some dates that would work for you (most likely on a Sat.) or if you want more information please feel free to contact me via pm.
Thanks for all your efforts!
SeattleWe're having some OG-related node access issues, described below, and would love a consult from a local Drupaler with experience in those areas!
On-site help in Auburn would be preferred.
Main issues:
-I need to develop a way to have certain roles given access to all Organic Groups (without the administer OG perm), but am striking out. This sandbox: http://drupal.org/sandbox/malcomio/1246140 didn't work or give me any code ideas.
-ApacheSolr doesn't seem to be respecting OG-related NodeAccess (but does respect content_access and custom rules). See: http://drupal.org/node/1397466.
-In general, my custom node access module does what I wanted it to do, but after further review, it doesn't seem to do what I coded it to do :)

Brief OpenLayers project intro
We’re using openlayers to build an interactive map of the human body. We’re mainly using openlayers for managing and displaying polygon data on images. Openlayers meets most of our needs as is but we are looking for support building out a couple of advanced features.
What we need
Javascript UI / Drupal developer, openlayers experience a big plus, willingness to learn a must
Estimated time commitment: 60 hours
Tasks overview
We have a number of connected tasks, we would like a developer to take ownership of these isues and deliver a solution created within our existing framework. We will provide example pages and data to work with.
Groups of polygons in openlayers: We have polygons which are part of groups. When one polygon within a group is hovered, all polygons within that group need to be highlighted.
Building some editor support into interface, when a plygon is hovered and editor is logged in they should be able to link to the edit screen for it
Term info popup support on polygon hover, when a polygon is hovered it needs to be selected in the term list with it’s info box poped up
Locking down openlayers so no controls are displayed and map cannot be moved
Theme the map container, rounded corners, innershdow
Default selected polygons state on some pages
Create hover selection styles, when you hover over a ploygon we need to to be outlined
We are looking for someone to be able to start a.s.a.p.
Lastly, we will likely have many related follow up projects after this one is completed. Ideally, if it makes sense for both sides, we would love to bring on the successful candidate on for a longer term contract.

SeattleHowdy SeaDUG,
I just need a quick hand over the next few days (need to be feature-complete by Friday) straightening out the D7 Internationalization on the site I've been working on for the past few months. If you're familiar with internationalization for menus, blocks and views then I could really use your help.
I'm new to the area and only made one meeting so far (November, the talk on entities) but think it's a great mix of "hard boiled pros" and "excited amateurs." Once this project ships I'm hoping to do a presentation on something I've done because it's a great way to really learn the corners of a feature.
The site I'm currently working on is pretty much done except for problems I'm facing with D7 internationalization (five languages) on menus, blocks and views because of 1) my inexperience with i18n 2) blocking bugs on a number of modules (i18n_access crashes all translation due to path issues, for example) that I'm seeing.
I can provide a link and login credentials if you'd be able to throw us any hours before Friday. Like I said, we're mostly there but having issues with Menu item display by language and some dynamic block translations.
It's not that we're hosed and spinning, but since the client has stepped up the deadline I just need some help working out some corner issues.
Thanks in advance for any time you can throw my way in exchange for money, beer or just a warm feeling of accomplishment,
--Jason

The background: We (currently) have 2000 domain names pointed at a single IP. Drupal inherently has the ability to use multisite, but for our particular Drupal 7 install we use a module named Domain Access to delegate sites. The gist is though that Domain Access will not allow cross site logins, but yeah, we would like our editors to log in once, and have access to all sites.
The question: Has anyone made any headway with coming up with a single sign on solution with Domain access to date for Drupal 7? I've been looking closely at two old modules, one no longer maintained (SSO for D6) and one still maintained (CAS). I'm worried about using CAS I am not sure if it will work the way I intend it since Domain Access seems to change quite a bit of Drupal(ly) stuff.
We could potentially use facebook, openid, twitter option, but i thing not having able to offer visitors or customers a unique id across a network of sites is too me a big loss of identity and privacy.
Are there any solutions that are known to date, or information on what to start looking into? Has anyone in the Drupal community managed to make a solution that I have not been able to find? The only possiblitiy that I've found was this thread on Domain Access SSO [http://bleen.net/blog/domain-access-sso] but am uncertain to what version it pertains to (Drupal. DA, SSO or otherwise). I tried contacting the author multiple times but never received a response. It looks like the "Solution" was to create a master table set with users and permissions, then share those across the domains. Unfortunetly (again) SSO on Drupal 7 is not an option.
Any opinions out there on the who what or why would be greatly appreciated, I honestly just need a start point to get the ball rolling. Thanks everyone
