1 hour 43 min ago
Volcanic Activity Senior Graphics Designer Employment type:  Part time Employment type:  Contract Telecommute:  Allowed

My name is Daniel Hall and I am the bass player plus I manage the marketing and advertising for Volcanic Activity

Our band needs a new web site design. We also need a professional logo design in vector format.

The Drupal site in development is running 6.x. We will also need a 7.x theme designed as well.

We already have an experienced drupal programmer doing our custom modules and php coding.

The minimum we need is a PSD design that will fit over a custom drupal theme.

If you can develop the Drupal theme as well as slice it up, craft the CSS, hone the HTML, drop in the required PHP variables then we will pay you extra.

Please contact me directly by phone at (503) 521-0403 and we can interview each other.
Or send me an email at daniel.hall@gmail!com with brief introduction, skills, hourly rate and any questions you may have.

Thanks for considering this gig and I look forward to hearing from you.

Short term site audit - "expert" Drupal skills required | University of Washington

Tue, 03/09/2010 - 11:46
University of Washington Short term site audit - "expert" Drupal skills required Employment type:  Contract Telecommute:  Not allowed

I'm forwarding this in case someone is looking for some extra cash. I said "telecommute not allowed", but I have no idea how this would pan out.

Feel free to contact me (via name under this post) and I'll put you in touch with Paul directly.

Paul states:
"I put together a resource sharing tool for my unit using Drupal a little over a year ago. We'd like to begin expanding its user base, but before doing so we have a small amount of money we'd like to put towards an audit of the site. Ideally, the auditor would be a Drupal expert who has written code to modify the CMS. I'm hoping this would be about a 3-5 hour job, in which he or she would:

  • meet with me and review how the site works now
  • identify problems or inefficiencies
  • provide direction on how the site might be better constructed
  • consult with us on the best approaches to security, backups, and upgrades

If you or someone you know (from either the UW community or the larger Drupal community) would be interested, please let me know. Someone from within the UW would need to do the audit outside of their normal work hours and be compensated through "Extra Compensation" -- this can be tricky, depending on your department.

Please let me know if I can provide more info!

Best,

Paul Ford"

creating registration forms for an event | Maggie Flynn on behalf of the SFC

Tue, 03/02/2010 - 21:40
Maggie Flynn on behalf of the SFC creating registration forms for an event Employment type:  Contract Telecommute:  Allowed

I did the graphic design on a drupal6.0 site for a great non-profit - www.sacredfirecommunity.org. We lost our drupal person right after launch a few months ago. We'd like to create a registration for a weekend event coming up this summer in England, so the registration will have housing options, payment options, the works. Currently we have ubercart up and running. I did a bit of research, and perhaps Webform, Signup and Signup Integration with Ubercart will do the trick, but I am not the tech expert here - that's what we need. It isn't a big project, but there will likely be similar work with this group in the future, if this goes well. Contact me if interested - thank you - maggieflynn@speakeasy.net

Looking to remove/update "node" class from a Content Slider content type

Sun, 01/31/2010 - 17:19

Hello all,

I hope this is an Ok place to post here. Seattle New Media has started a site for http://magicmasseuse.com and would like to make a Features section completely editable by the client.

ISSUE:
In an space/area just beneath the main navigation links is a where you would currently have rotating features content, and we intend to take that new custom "content type" called "features" and remove the background image/color that seems to be set by a class called "node." In this section we currently have the Content Slider module to rotate the "features" content type content, and the Block Theme module to strip out the content header. But this Block Theme does not seem to be enough to also strip the background image/color that is set. This seems to be in the code here: <?php
print $block->content
?>, but this code also for all the rest of the site, not just that on content type. To remove/update "node" class from a Content Slider content type we have tried all kinds of little modules and hacks. We do not want to do this with too much custom code -- if possible. We would like to keep the modules we use mostly original, so they can be upgraded in the future.

Hope the above makes enough sense for someone to try to assist. :) The easiest way to see exactly what I am talking about is to look at the site and View Source to see what is there, and what we might do to make the background not show for the features. Thanks in advance if anyone can assist.
