The Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit is an annual conference to unite and improve the Drupal Community in the Pacific Northwest region including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Vancouver, and Victoria, Canada. This year’s Drupal Summit is being organized by volunteers from the Surrey and Vancouver Drupal User Groups. The dates are October 2-3, 2010 and the location is the UBC Robson Square building in downtown Vancouver, Canada.

The camp will feature both scheduled sessions and “unconference” content on both Saturday and Sunday. Sessions are proposed by community volunteers and programming decisions will be made based on the interests and Drupal experience level of the attendees. In addition to the scheduled sessions, the camp will feature space for community gatherings, Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions, hands-on-training and more! http://pnwdrupalsummit.org/

Seattle Drupal MiniCamp will run from 9:30 am through 6 pm on Saturday February 21st. This is an unconference following the BarCamp style. Details of the work depend on you! Bring your ideas and be prepared to lead a small group of 2-3 people to work on whatever aspects of Drupal interest you. This is a community sprint to finish up the SCBA site we started - all are welcome!

Last year we had a barnraising event to create a site for a local non-profit. We had a good time and got a lot of work done... but there is a little work left to complete the site.

The site is very close to done, there are a few features that still need to be implemented and some theming tweaks as well as some content creation and testing. An issue queue is set up so we can break up into teams, check-out issues and fix/complete all tasks that remain.

This special presentation covers the conversion of The Seattle Times NWSource.com website to Drupal, the open source content management framework. In the video, the site producers and engineers discuss and answer questions as to why they chose Drupal, difficulties and successes in implementation, plus technical details of running a large production website on Drupal.

The SEADUG meets regularly (at least once a month officially) to talk about Drupal, to plan Drupal events like Drupal Camp and Drupal Barnraisings, plus have some Drupal fun. During SEADUG meetings we showcase modules and projects. Share tips and tricks and answer nagging questions about Drupal. We discuss possible barn raisings for worthy organizations or code sprinting on modules. This is a geographic Drupal User Group meant primarily for planning local Drupal related events and supporting users locally.
